Assembly Pkg. 40% of registered diamond units have closed down
The state government on Wednesday admitted that over 40 per cent of the registered diamond units in Gujarat have closed down due to recession. It declared that the diamond industry was facing a downslide and over 58 per cent of workers in these units have also lost their jobs in the last three years.
